

Probably one of the most unexpected projects. It all started with a meeting with a marketing strategist and a product in a paper bag.... The Magic Wand (originally Hitachi Magic Wand) has been around since 1968, and in that time has undergone many brand updates. To bring its look into the 21st century I worked with the distributor, Vibratex, to create a new look and feel. The goal was to merge the product's legacy of trust-worthiness, dependability and brand recognition with an up-to-date new vibe that would appeal to a current market. We then translated this brand direction to a new Magic Wand product, the Magic Wand Rechargeable, with the goal of having the two products appear related by distinguishable from one another. The branding later extended to point-of-sale materials, advertising, trade show booth art and swag which have been updated with a new campaign look each year.
